Why We Decided Not To Use Our Bedroom Footage...

After spending a few days putting all of our effort into creating a great looking bedroom set, we have decided not to use the footage in our video! Our reasoning for this was the change of direction we experienced after changing our song choice;

• We were making the video black and white, and most of the bedroom footage relied on the inclusion of colour. Without it, the levels of contrast were very low.
• Due to changing to a slightly more positive sounding song, we felt that we could push it a bit further with the imagery in our video without it being 'too much'.
• Character continuity was also a big issue. We thought it would be much more effective if we limited it to myself being in the character-based shots, and Lauren being in the body close-ups.

Ultimately, we liked the footage we filmed, but felt it was not right for our music video. We are confident that we have a lot of strong footage - over 2 hours! - that will allow us to achieve exactly the mood that we want in our video.
