William Control was created in 2008 by Aiden frontman, William Francis. In interviews with Kerrang Magazine and through posts on his MySpace page, William explained that William Control was born to allow him to explore making music that was out of the genre of Aiden (a punk band, with horror influences) and also as an outlet for him during a troubled time in his life. William Control is a semi-autobiographical alter ego, and his debut album 'Hate Culture' told the story of a man's last day on earth before he plans to commit suicide. His music explores dark, controversial topics such as suicide, sadomasochism and religion, but is also extremely personal. William Control has gone on to release three more CDs, 'Noir', 'Novus Ordo Seclorum' and 'Silentium Amoris' and has toured extensively all over the world.
